This Privacy Policy describes how Honisto, a DBA of DevAppStudios LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our platform (the "Service") and explains your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

We use your Personal Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

Words with initial capital letters have defined meanings under the following conditions. These definitions have the same meaning whether they appear in singular or plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • "Account" means a unique account created for you to access the Service. Honisto offers two account types: Business Accounts (for service providers using the dashboard) and Directory Accounts (for consumers browsing the directory).
  • "Company" (referred to as "the Company", "we", "us", or "our") refers to DevAppStudios LLC, doing business as Honisto.
  • "Cookies" are small files placed on your device by a website, used to store information.
  • "Device" means any device that can access the Service, such as a computer, mobile phone, or tablet.
  • "Personal Data" is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • "Service" refers to the Honisto platform, including the dashboard application, the marketing website, and the public business directory.
  • "Service Provider" means any third-party company or individual employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, provide the Service on behalf of the Company, or assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
  • "Usage Data" refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
  • "You" means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Account Information

When you create a Business Account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Full name and display name
  • Phone number
  • Timestamps of your acceptance of our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy

Business Profile Data

If you create a business profile, we collect information you provide about your business, including:

  • Business name, tagline, and description
  • Business contact information (phone, email, website)
  • Business address and timezone
  • Industry categories and business hours
  • Social media links
  • Business logo and gallery images

Your business profile information is made public and searchable on the Honisto directory. This includes your business name, description, contact information, address, hours, industry, images, and review ratings. This public listing is a core feature of the Service.

Client and Contractor Data

When you use Honisto's client management, invoicing, appointment, or contractor payment features, you may enter personal data about your own clients and contractors. This may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing and billing addresses, and notes.

You are the data controller for the client and contractor data you enter into the Service. We process this data on your behalf as a data processor. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent or legal basis to store this information in the Service.

Content You Create

We store content you create through the Service, including:

  • Invoices and estimates
  • Digital menu categories and items
  • Appointment records
  • Responses to customer reviews
  • Uploaded images (logos, gallery photos, menu and service images)

Payment Data

Honisto uses Stripe for payment processing. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not receive, store, or have access to your full payment card details. We store only the identifiers necessary to manage your subscription status and billing period. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Integrations

You may optionally connect third-party services to the Service, such as Google Business Profile. When you authorize a third-party integration, we may receive data from that service (such as reviews and business information) and send data back to it (such as review responses). You can disconnect any third-party integration at any time, which revokes our access. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Usage Data

When you access the Service, our servers may automatically log standard request information such as your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time and date of your visit. We may use third-party analytics services to help us understand how the Service is used. We do not track you across other websites for advertising purposes.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Honisto uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

The types of cookies we use include:

  • Essential Cookies — Required for the Service to function, such as maintaining your login session. Without these cookies, you cannot remain signed in to the Service.
  • Analytics Cookies — We may use cookies from third-party analytics providers to help us understand how the Service is used and to improve your experience. These cookies do not identify you personally for advertising purposes.

Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites you visit. The Service does not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites, so your browsing experience on the Service is the same regardless of your DNT setting.

Use of Your Personal Data

We may use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service, including managing your account, processing your subscription, and enabling features such as invoicing, appointments, menus, reviews, and directory listings.
  • To manage your Account, including authenticating your identity when you sign in.
  • For the performance of a contract, including processing subscription payments and providing the services you have subscribed to.
  • To send communications on your behalf, such as invoice and estimate notifications, appointment confirmations, and review requests that you initiate through the Service.
  • To publish your business profile on the Honisto directory so that potential customers can discover your business.
  • To contact you with important notices about the Service, such as changes to our terms or subscription-related communications.
  • To manage your requests and respond to your inquiries.
  • For business transfers, where your information may be evaluated as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets.
  • For other purposes, such as identifying usage trends and improving the Service.

Sharing Your Personal Data

We do not sell your Personal Data. We may share your information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share your Personal Data with third-party Service Providers to facilitate our Service, including payment processing, email delivery, data hosting, and background job processing. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to use it only for the purposes we specify.
  • With third-party integrations: If you connect a third-party service (such as Google Business Profile), data may be shared with that service as described in the Third-Party Integrations section above.
  • With the public: Your business profile data is published on the Honisto directory and may be indexed by search engines. This is a core feature of the Service.
  • With your clients: When you send invoices, estimates, or appointment notifications through the Service, the recipients receive the content of those communications.
  • For business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
  • For legal requirements: We may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities. We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
  • With your consent: We may disclose your Personal Data for any other purpose with your consent.

Data You Process Through the Service

As a business management platform, Honisto enables you to store and manage personal data about your own clients, contractors, and business contacts.

For this data, you are the data controller and we are the data processor. This means:

  • You determine what data to enter and how it is used
  • You are responsible for having a legal basis to store your clients' personal data
  • You are responsible for responding to data access or deletion requests from your clients
  • We process this data solely to provide the Service to you
  • When you delete your account, all data you entered is permanently deleted

Retention of Your Personal Data

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Your account data, business profile, and all content you create through the Service are retained for as long as your account is active. Temporary data such as authentication codes and session information is automatically deleted after a short period.

When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly deleted, including your business profile, clients, invoices, estimates, appointments, menu content, reviews, contractor records, uploaded images, and settings. This deletion cannot be undone.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and on servers operated by our Service Providers. This means your data may be transferred to and maintained on systems located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of information represents your agreement to that transfer. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of your Personal Data is important to us. We maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your Personal Data:

  • Access: You can view your account information, business profile, and all data you have entered at any time through the dashboard.
  • Correction: You can update your account information and business profile at any time through the dashboard.
  • Deletion: You can delete your account from the Account settings page, which permanently deletes all your data. You must cancel any active subscription before deleting your account.
  • Disconnect integrations: You can disconnect any third-party integrations at any time.

Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for business owners and is generally not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. Users between the ages of 16 and 18 may use the Service with parental or guardian consent if they are operating or starting a legitimate business. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has created an account without your consent, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.

Links to Other Websites

The Service may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most current version. We may also provide notice of changes through the Service, such as a notification in your dashboard. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
