Automatic mode
Turn on automatic billing and the member's card gets charged on the recurring schedule. The "Auto-billed" pill replaces the Mark paid button.

Do I need card payments enabled to use this?
No. You can track members, log drop-ins, and mark payments paid manually without any payment setup. Card payments are only needed if you want to charge cards directly or run automatic recurring billing.
What are the three ways to charge a drop-in?
In-person card entry on your device, share a pay link or QR code so the customer pays from their phone, or mark it paid manually for cash/check/external payments.
Can I mix manual and automatic billing across members?
Yes. Each member's billing mode is set per membership. Some members can be on automatic billing, others can stay manual — whatever fits each relationship.
How do automatic memberships get charged?
Automatic billing handles it. When the cycle date hits, the member's saved card gets charged on schedule. The membership row shows an 'Auto-billed' pill so you know not to mark it paid yourself.
What happens if card payments get disabled?
Card charging is hidden — the Charge button and Pay link options disappear from drop-in rows. Mark paid is always available, and tracking still works. Automatic memberships fall back to manual until card payments are restored.
Are there fees beyond payment processing?
Honisto doesn't add any platform fees. The standard payment processor rates apply (2.9% + 30¢ for cards, 0.8% capped at $5 for ACH, set by Stripe and subject to change).
